Basil Pesto

1 cup pine nuts
2 cloves garlic
1 bunch of basil leaves (big hand full)
1 1/2 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

toast pine nuts in a skillet on med for 5 to 7 mins...


add the two garlic cloves, basil, pine nuts salt and pepper into food processor. Put lid on and turn on to process


add olive oil while the processor is on processing all the ingredients, if you feel like the mixture needs more oil add more........

finished product is a very green mixture of goodness.
Pesto is used for pasta dishes as your sauce or to spread on bread for bruschetta
