About Me

Hey, my name is Debbie and welcome to my blog! Let me tell you a little about me, I am a wife to the most wonderful man EVER, I know your saying...NO i am married to the most wonderful man, well ok...we both are, Me and my hubby have 5 beautiful children, David 27, Lyndsey (her hubby Clay) 25, my twinzeys Dakota and Rachel 21 and our baby of the clan Mikal (sounds like Mi-Kale) 15...On June 26, 2011 we became grandparents to the MOST BEAUTIFUL baby in the world...her name is Kynleigh, and I am just soooo in love..
Well let me tell you about my blog, its name originated from my beautiful most wonderful fabulous stove I could ever want or ask for, which I didn't ask I hinted...HINT HINT....OK so I got it...my wolf, now we just built a house and after designing every room i knew i wanted my kitchen to be off the charts...for me, not for anyone else, because you see i cook and i cook allot, so when i went to pick the ole girl out i wanted 8 burners, my hubby wanted 4 burners with the huge grill in the middle, nope I wanted 8 burners, and I got 8 burners.....his last words to me were.....YOU WILL NEVER USE ALL 8 haha, I have been cooking on it almost a year and nope I haven't used all 8 at one time BUT.......I have the option if I decide to......end of story.
I consider myself a foodie, I love food, ALL food, ANY food....really GOOD food and when I cook I want it to be just that,  GOOD...YUMMY, mmmmmm,  mom that was awesome...that kinda food, you know what I mean. I watch the food network and cooking channel 24/7, unless a hurricane is in the ocean (I am from Florida) then I keep the weather channel on....I am pretty boring I know....oh hum oh well.......So I decided that I wanted to share my recipes, some are original (I made them up...pat on the back! thanks) and some I get from other foodies, chefs, cooks etc etc....I love trying recipes out and I always seem to add my  "Debbie touch" to it (as my hubby says)....sometimes there is just something else that needs to be added....I can remember a recipe just by hearing it one time, especially if I watch it being prepared, YEAH FOR ME, makes going to the grocery pretty simple.....so that's me and I will tell you more as you visit.... I hope you enjoy the recipes the pics and most of all TASTING all that goodness as you try out each of the dishes.........I promise I won't let you down....well keep cooking, keep eating,  I know I will.........see ya in the kitchen......!!!!!!
Here is my grandbaby Kynleigh.......had to share

Heeeey!!!!! Well its been a few days since I have talked to you, I have been busy busy, trying to get these recipes on this blog, so you can enjoy more than just ONE recipe...HA...and taking the pictures has become a major challenge...I am SOOOOOO not a photographer, just remember when your looking and reading everything on this sight, I am just a normal person, trying to look like I know what I am doing. I do know what I am doing in the kitchen, but putting it on  paper and remembering to take pictures of each step, well that's a whole new subject....I am learning and its all good.
I do want to say that you may not ever see a desert on my page, OK you may see a few but I just don't do deserts, give me a steak and loaded bake potato or a salad with all the fixings with some yummy vinaigrette drizzled all over and I am in heaven. Normally I am just to full to eat deserts, whenever I have a dinner party and someone asks what shall I bring, I say desert.
Last night was my hubby's 48th birthday. I decided to invite all our children and my in laws over for a nice dinner.  We (my son in law Clay) grilled steaks. I made a blue cheese butter to add on top of the steaks...this is to DIE for, I mean steaks are great especially grilled but to had a flavored butter.......HELLOOOOO!.........our side dishes were cucumber and red onion salad, pear walnut with Gorgonzola cheese salad, my own personal recipe, broccoli casserole with fried onions, now everybody knows fried onions is like bacon, you can put this on anything and it will taste incredible, I also made roasted ranch potato's.easy simple but oh so good.  I will be adding these recipes soon, my children hubby and in laws ate everything before i could take a picture of the final product........AWWWWWWW, that means I will have to do it again...well darn!!! :)...so I hope you have a wonderful day and week, keep cooking, keep eating, I know I will and I hope to see ya in the kitchen...........tootles

my sweet baby doll

Hello again........I know I don't talk much but good grief its a crazy world.......I love this time of year though......We don't get leaves changing much here in Florida, but I love when the weather starts to change......the weather channel lets me know the highs are in the 80's and lows are in the 60's........that tells me cooler weather is on its way and I love that.......I probably should live up North........I know I know those who live there say NO....warmer is better, but to see pictures of "to me" a winter wonderland just makes me smile........I picture my self sitting by the fire, everything is white outside, coffee in my hand, PJ's on and loving life.......you notice I don't picture myself driving on icy roads or walking around in the snow.........ha......Ok so now I am back in Florida.........got a few new recipes on the blog..........I really am trying to make it easy for everyone......I don't want anything complicated.....life is just to hard already.......so......check out the newbies, hope you find them yummy.........I am also doing a baby shower on saturday and hope to have some great recipes from that.....going to do fruit, chicken salad, spinach strawberry salad.........all this is really simple stuff........OH and sugared peanuts......this isn't a new recipe it actually comes from the manufacturing company that makes the virginia skin peanuts......these babies are to DIE for.......great lil compliment to any party you have......forget the plain nuts.....try these..........and a note on the chicken salad.......I was talking to my daughter who is a new mom but a really great cook.....she has a mind like me when it comes to food.....she can put stuff together and make it taste good......so she was telling me her chicken salad recipe that she just made up and I will be doing that........it sounded really yummy and I couldn't of ask for a better recipe........YEAH FOR THE DAUGHTER.....did I mention how proud I am ........oh she made me a grandma so YEAH!!!!!...well see ya soon.......I hope you keep cooking, keep eating.......and try some new things.........its a good thing......I know Martha says that.......well it is a good thing.....:)  See ya in the kitchen............
